Nasimi Municipality was founded corresponding to elections for municipality in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 12.12.1999.
At first 5 years, Nasimi municipality has got 19 members of municipality, 6 regular commissions. After elections for municipality in 2004, four regular commissions – Local social missions, Local budget missions, Local economic missions and Local ecological missions commissions was founded, too. Specialists who have got rich knowledge of life and work experience, as well as two eminent linguist-turkolog scientists, professor doctor of philology sciences work at these regular commissions.
It’s the pattern of forming and development new body by state that 1 billion 135 millions 783 thousands manat subsidy was given to Nasimi municipality in 2000-2005.
Incomes of local budget was 2 (two) billions 846 millions 222 thousands manats for 2000-2005, including 11 months. One part of this – 1 (one) billion 710 millions 439 thousands arranges from taxes and compensations, property of municipality.
During last 5 years, 2 parks, surrounding and courtyard of some dwelling-buildings was reconstructed as relax corner.
30 thousands 477 sq. m asphalting work were fulfilled by municipality. Yard of buildings over 50 was asphalted by municipality, too.
118 million manats of budget expenses were spent to pecuniary aids. Pecuniary aid was given to martyrs of Karabagh war, 20 January, Chernobyl families and invalids, refugees from Khojali who was subjected to mass killing, veterans of 1941-1945 war, children who voided of parent patronage, alone, ill old men, refugee and forced immigrants.
Maintenance and asphalting works were carried out in avenue named after National Hero of Azerbaijan, building with memorial plaque of martyrs and little square in front of them.
In spring and summer seasons prophylactic, disinfection works are fulfilled in basements, dumps of buildings, addresses in the district which refugees densely settled, medical centers of schools were supplied with emergency medicines on base of agreement of municipality.
Asphalting works in yard and sport sport-court of some school providing general education, maintenance works in classrooms, sport hall and subsidiary rooms belonging on it were carried out, cattle-yards of 2 schools were repaired, thermal equipment of one asylum-kindergarten was restored.
Nasimi municipality formed its property for getting financial source and bringing profit to budget. In the present day, 8 caws, 128 sheep and goats (77 ewes, 6 rams and 45 goats) of municipality were rented corresponding to legislation of cattle-breeding farm.
Nasimi municipality was rewarded with “Honor certificate” and special prize, “Progressive Municipality Flag” and diploma by Trade Union Organization of Municipality Employee of Republic, as well as International prize “Actualidad 21^st century for Tradition and Authority” by “Actualidad” magazine publishing in Madrid, Spain.
